Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar has hosted the 14th edition of IFIP WG 11.9 International Conference on Digital Forensics in collaboration with the University of Tulsa, USA. The three-day international conference began on January 3, 2018, and will conclude on January 5, 2018. The international conference will witness the participation of government officials, law-enforcement personnel, researchers and academicians from countries across the globe.
The three-day conference will have 8 sessions and presentation of 20 research papers on the following topics: -
- Forensics
- Industrial Control System
- Mobile and Embedded Device Forensics
- Cloud Forensics
- Digital Forensic Tools and Techniques
- Network Forensics
- Digital Forensic Models

During the conference, the keynote lectures will be delivered by: -
- Member of Cloud Computing Innovation Council of India, Mr. Suhaan Mukherjee will deliver his lecture on ‘Legal Challenges to Digital Forensics in India’.
- A scientist at Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Mr. Gaurav Gupta will deliver his lecture on ‘Digitized Document Fraud: New Directions and Opportunities’.
- Professor of Computer Science and Chemical Engineering at the University of Tulsa, Professor Sujeet Shenoi will deliver his talk on ‘Case Studies in Invasive Embedded Device Forensics: Evidence Extraction and Firmware Verification’.
- National Cyber Security Coordinator, Dr. Gulshan Rai will deliver his lecture on ‘Cyber Security – The Indian Perspective’.

On the first day of the conference, a poster presentation session will be organised to showcase interesting ideas from young practitioners and researchers. The last day of the conference will have a long session, specifically for law enforcement professions and specialists across the country.
