Important instructions regarding Freeze after JoSAA Seat Allotment 2025

Instruction 1

Accepting the allocated seat through the Freeze option means that a candidate is satisfied with their allotted seat and wishes to take admission in the assigned college.

Instruction 2

Candidates can only choose the Freeze option by logging into their dashboard on the official website, where they will find the option to confirm their seat acceptance.

Instruction 3

If a candidate is allotted a seat based on their first preference, they are required to accept the Freeze option and cannot opt for Float or Slide. However, they do have the option to withdraw from the counselling process if they wish.

Instruction 4

Failure to confirm the Freeze option will result in the seat being rejected and allocated to other candidates in subsequent counselling rounds. Candidates need to complete this step to secure their seat.

Instruction 5

Once the Freeze option is selected, candidates cannot make any modifications to their seat allocation, college, or program. This decision is final and binding.

Instruction 6

If a candidate is allotted a seat according to their choice filling form but decides not to accept it for any reason, they can reject and withdraw from further counselling rounds.

Instruction 7

In the final round of counselling, candidates have the option to either freeze (accept) their allocated seat or reject it, which will result in their disqualification from the counselling process. There will be no further opportunities for seat allocation.

Instruction 8

After seat allocation, candidates are required to pay a mandatory seat acceptance fee and upload the necessary documents for online reporting. The seat acceptance fee varies by category, with ₹35,000 for General, EWS, and OBC categories, and ₹17,500 for SC, ST, and PwD categories.

Instruction 9

Apart from the seat acceptance fee, candidates will also need to pay the remaining admission fee directly to the institute. The seat acceptance fee can be paid online using various payment methods, including debit card, credit card, UPI, net banking, or e-challan.

Instruction 10

If a candidate accepts the Freeze option, pays the seat acceptance fee, and completes all online procedures but fails to report to the institute for offline admission, their seat will be cancelled. In such cases, the seat acceptance fee may not be refundable, and the candidate will lose their allocated seat.
