Jamia Milla Islamia extends admissions date for J&K Students to 10th October 2019 as many candidates couldn't report to the University to complete admission formalities previously. The main reason being, revoking of Article 370 created a communication gap in the valley. The details of admission date extension were mentioned in the letter written by Varsity Registrar to the Resident Commissioner, J&K.
Last week, the Resident Commissioner of J&K wrote to Jamia Milla Islamia stating all issues faced by the students of the state. The letter was sent out on 26th September 2019 and as a reply, Jamia Milla Islamia extended the admission deadlines.
According to the students of J&K, they appeared for the entrance exam for getting admission at Jamia Milla Isalima but were unable to check their results due to lack of connectivity in the entire J&K region. Due to which students who had cleared the exam had no idea of the same. As the communication gap continued, many missed the last date of counselling as well.
