- Certificate course in Sanskrit language is now on offer at the Jamia Millia Islamia University (JMI). Apply latest by October 31, 2017.
- On successful completion of the programme, candidates will become eligible to pursue B.A Sanskrit (Hons) course as well.
Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) is offering a Certificate course in the Sanskrit language from the current academic session (2017-2018). The newly established Department of Sanskrit at JMI will offer the course to students who have not studied Sanskrit after Class 8 or at any level. The newly formed department comes under School of Humanities and Languages of JMI. After the successful completion of the course, the candidate will be awarded a Certificate and he/she will be eligible to take admission to B.A Sanskrit (Hons) course.

The registration process for a Certificate course in Sanskrit language has already commenced. October 31, 2017, is the deadline to complete the application process. The online application for the Sanskrit language course can be filled through the official website of JMI.
During the beginning of the academic session, JMI launched six new courses. Some of the popular ones among them are: -
- LL.M (Executive)
- Masters in Tourism and Travel Management
- M.A (International Relations)
The varsity also introduced other courses like: -
- Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management
- Bachelor of Hotel Management
- Diploma in Pharmacy (Unani)

JMI has been successful in launching job oriented courses that have received tremendous response from students. The varsity has also collaborated with international varsities in different countries for academic ties, student-teacher exchange programme, sharing of knowledge and others.
