Jamia Millia Islamia has started free residential coaching classes for students preparing for civil services. Candidates can fill the application form by June 15, 2020.
Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has started a new initiative in which it will provide free coaching class to students who want to prepare for the civil services. JMI has invited the aspirants of civil services to apply for the residential coaching academy started by the varsity. This facility was initiated by the university exclusively for students who belong to minorities and the categories of Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST). Jamia Millia Islamia encourages women candidates to avail this opportunity in which hostel facilities are also offered by the university along with free coaching classes.
About Jamila Millia Islamia Civil Services Coaching
Jamia Millia Islamia has invited applications from students in order to prepare them for the Civil Services Exam 2021. They can submit their application forms for enrollment till June 15, 2020. The total number of seats available for this coaching class is 208 and candidates need to qualify the eligibility criteria if they wish to be selected. Students who have completed their undergraduate degree are eligible to appear for the exam so as to be shortlisted for the free civil services coaching classes that are being offered b JMI. Out of the total seats, 10 per cent will be reserved for candidates who are below 24 years of age.
Selection Process of JMI Civil Services Coaching
The selection of candidates for the civil services coaching classes at JMI will be based on the entrance exam that will be conducted by the university. The entrance will be at Delhi, Lucknow, Srinagar, Guwahati, Malappuram, and Bengaluru. Jamia Millia Islamia has stated that the dates of the entrance test, interview, as well as the final results will be notified on the website of the university soon. The candidates interested in applying can check the previous years' question papers on the website of JMI.

The Jamia coaching classes on civil services will assist the civil services aspirants in their journey and prepare them for the upcoming civil services examination of 2021. Classes on general studies, essay writing practice, CSAT and optional papers, test series, evaluation of answers etc will be included in the coaching.

Jamia Millia Islamia also declared that all the candidates who have already availed the facilities of the coaching in the last three years and have never appeared for the round of interview of civil services exams will not be considered eligible to submit the application form and appear for the entrance test.
