JEE Advanced 2022 Important Exam Day Instructions

JEE Advanced 2022 is scheduled for August 28, 2022, and IIT Bombay has already released the admit cards for the same on August 23, 2022. The exam will have two papers, each of three hours, which are mandatory for all candidates. Both papers will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode only with Paper 1 being held from 9 AM to 12 Noon and Paper 2 being from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

JEE Advanced 2022 Important Exam Day Instructions

Requisite exam-day instructions for JEE Advanced 2022 are listed below:

  • The candidate must carry JEE Advanced 2022 Exam Day Documents with them to be allowed to take the examination.
  • Additionally, only a ball-point pen, pencils, analog watch, and a transparent water bottle are allowed inside the examination hall. Other items such as electronic watches, mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, log tables, clipboards, geometry boxes, calculators, clothes with big buttons, and other metal items such as badges, belts, etc. are strictly prohibited.
  • Candidates are also advised to wear open footwear instead of shoes and socks.
  • In view of the pandemic, wearing a mask is compulsory and candidates are also advised to carry a 50 ml transparent sanitiser bottle. Also, social distancing norms must be followed as well.
  • The candidate’s identity will be verified by the invigilators as well as IIT representatives present at the examination centre. In the case where the identity of the candidate is in doubt, the candidate will only be allowed to appear for the examination at the discretion of the IIT representative. If extra time is required to complete these formalities i.e., past the commencement of the examination, the candidate will not be given compensation for it. The paper will be auto-submitted at the designated time only.
  • Under no circumstances will the candidate be allowed to enter the examination hall after the commencement of the paper. Moreover, regardless of when the candidate finishes their paper, they will not be allowed to leave the exam hall until the paper ends.
  • Appearing for both Paper 1 and 2 is compulsory. In case a candidate only appears for either of the paper, their result will not be evaluated.
  • Candidates are further advised to be present at the exam centre as per the given reporting time so that all requisite formalities are completed well in advance. After the last reporting time, no candidate will be permitted inside the examination centre.
