JEE Main application correction window for phase 1 will be closed today, April 8, 2022 (till 9 pm). The candidates need to correct their application form beforehand (if required).

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the JEE Main 2022 application correction window for Phase 1 today, April 8, 2022 (till 9 pm). To make the required changes, the candidates should visit the official website of NTA, jeemain.nta.nic.in and login using their login credentials. Earlier, NTA notified that this year the facility of JEE Main application correction window will not be given to students. However, after receiving numerous requests, NTA decided to open the one-time correction facility. Candidates willing to make any changes in the already filled in application form should do it with due diligence as no further request regarding the same will be entertained.

Steps to edit JEE Main application form 2022

To edit/ correct the JEE Main 2022 application form, the candidates should follow the below mentioned steps:

  • Visit the official website of NTA- jeemain.nta.nic.in
  • Login using the login credentials
  • Click on the “JEE Main correction in application form 2022” link and start to make corrections
  • The candidates should read the instructions and click on the ‘Proceed’ button
  • To make the corrections, the candidates should use the pen tool
  • Click the submit button once you make all the required corrections

Note: Before you submit the application form, the candidates need to check the form carefully. 

Details to be edited within JEE Main correction window

Interested candidates can correct or edit the below mentioned particulars-

  • Personal details of the candidates
  • Academic details
  • The candidates can change the language of exam, which they chose previously
  • Change the choice of paper
  • Date of birth and the choice of eligibility
  • Caste category

Note: If the candidates want to change their caste category then they have to make payment accordingly. For instance, if a student selects SC changing General category, then the additional registration fee will not be refunded by NTA. Similarly, if the candidate chooses the General category from the reserved one, then he/she has to pay the balance application fees.  

JEE Main exam date 2022 (revised)

A lot of students rolled a Twitter campaign, demanding the JEE Main 2022 exam postponement due to insufficient gaps between the sessions. After receiving multiple requests, NTA has extended the phase 1 and phase 2 exam dates. After rescheduling, the JEE Main April and May exam will now be conducted in June and July respectively.
