JEE Main Day Shift 1 Analysis

JEE Main Day 4 exam for shift 1 was conducted on January 09, 2020 (9:30 AM to 12:30 PM). The fourth day of JEE Main January 2020 is the last date for the conduct of the national-level entrance examination. Candidates can also appear for JEE Main April 2020 exam to improve his/ her performance in the entrance test and enhance the chances of securing admission in top IITs and NITs across the country. Overall Difficulty Level of Question Paper: Moderate to Tough. The Class 12th syllabus was more in this shift. The NAT based questions were difficult in Physics and Easy in Chemistry.

Toughest Section: Physics (Tougher than previous shifts)

Difficulty Level of Mathematics: Moderate. The NAT based questions were lengthy.

Difficulty Level of Physics: Tough and Tricky

Difficulty Level of Chemistry: Easy. However, some questions were tricky.

Topics from Mathematics: There were questions from Calculus, Algebra, Binominal Expression, Matrices, Mathematical Reasoning, Determinants, differential calculus, probability, conic section, integration.

Topics from Physics: There were questions from Elevctrostatics, Fluids, Dipole Movement, Resistance, Modern Physics, Semiconductors

Topics from Chemistry: The weightage for questions from Organic and Inorganic Chemistry was almost equal, and most of the questions were from the NCERT textbook only. There were also questions from Aldehyde Groups, Organic Reactions

Expected Percentile/ Score Range: 80-85 Percentile for an Average Student.

Advisory for the Shift 2 (Day 4): Physics questions were formula based. So, it is better to focus more on Physics.
