JNTU-Hyderabad 7th Convocation: 82,486 Students to Receive Degrees

  • 58,580 B.Tech graduates of the academic batch of 2016-17 will receive degrees this year. 
JNTU-Hyderabad 7th Convocation: 82,486 Students to Receive Degrees

Around 82,486 students will be awarded degrees at the 7 th convocation ceremon y of JNTU-Hyderabad that is scheduled to take place on May 09, 2018. Students who have graduated during the academic batch of 2016-17 will be awarded degrees. Governor of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and Chancellor of JNTU-H, Mr. ESL Narasimhan will preside over the convocation. The authorities of JNTU-H have made all the arrangements for the grand event.

Out of 82,486 who will be receiving their degrees, 58,580 are B.Tech graduates of the academic batch of 2016-17, while the remaining candidates include B.Pharma, M.Pharma, MCA, MBA, M.Tech and Ph.D graduates. Apart from degrees, 60 students will receive gold medals for their outstanding performance in academics.

JNTU-H is one of the biggest and popular technical universities in Telangana. Over the years, the varsity has been taking numerous steps to streamline the technical education in Telangana. Recently, biometric attendance system for postgraduate students and faculty was implemented by the varsity. As a result, the pass percentage of students has been improved.

The batch that graduated in 2016-17 also excelled in campus placements . Many MNCs such as Airtel, Fiat, Wells Farco, Amazon, Microsoft, TCS and 55 other reputed companies offered lucrative jobs to students with attractive salary packages. Close to 663 students of JNTU-H secured jobs in the campus placement drive. On the other hand, the performance of affiliated colleges was also better in terms of placements.

JNTU-H has also launched a new M.Tech course in Cyber Forensics and Information Security . With an aim to enhance the quality of education, the varsity signed MoU with five universities of international repute.
