JNTU Hyderabad is all set to increase the tuition fees for the Engineering courses. The final decision for the same will be released within a week.

JNTU Hyderabad Increased Fees for Engineering Students

The candidates, who have been pursuing engineering courses in the constituent colleges of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) Hyderabad, have to pay a higher fee structure for their courses. The University authority has decided to raise the course fee for the regular B.Tech courses to Rs. 50,000 per annum from Rs. 35000 per annum. This newly structured engineering course fee will be applicable for all the B.Tech courses offered by the JNTU Hyderabad campus and the other five constituent colleges, Jagtial, Manthani, Sultanpur, Wanaparthy, and Rajanna Sircilla. The same is approved by the varsity’s Executive Council (EC).

Not just the BTech courses, JNTU Hyderabad has also increased the fee of regular M.Tech courses. The M.Tech regular course fee price has been increased from Rs 15000 per semester to Rs 30000 per semester. On the other hand, the self-financed M.Tech course fees will be Rs 1 lakh per annum.

Though the EC of the varsity has approved the fee hike, the Telangana Admission and the Fee Regulatory Committee (TAFRC) has not yet taken any final decision regarding the fee revision for private professional colleges across the State for this academic year. Nonetheless, an official order is not yet released by the State government.

As per the source, within a week, the final statement will be released on whether the JNTU Hyderabad Engineering course fee structure will be revised or not. In addition, if the fee structure is increased, it may not affect all students, since the State government will provide the fee reimbursement to the eligible candidates. As per the rules, the candidates, who have secured a rank below 10,000 in the TS EAMCET exam 2022, will be able to avail of 100 per cent fee reimbursement. In addition, the students, who are studying at intermediate government junior colleges, will also get 100 per cent fee reimbursement. Along with this, the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes candidates will be given 100 per cent fee reimbursement, if their annual family income is Rs 2 lakh or below. The candidates, who have secured above 1000- rank in TS EAMCET 2022 exam, will get a relaxation of Rs 35000 as fee reimbursement. Only the rest of the tuition fees will have to be borne by the students.
