JNTU-H Announces New Detection Norms and Revised Semester Exam Pattern

JNTU Hyderabad semester exams are scheduled to begin from June 20, 2020, and the university has released the new exam pattern for the same. Also, check JNTUH new detention rules here. 

JNTUH Revised Semester Exam Pattern

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Hyderabad (JNTU-H) has made some changes in the detention norms for the academic year 2020-21. According to the new rule, there will be no credit based detection of students irrespective of the results of the semester-end exam.

However, students will have to secure credits defined by the university at the time of examination. The rule is applicable for all regular students and students detained in the previous academic years.

JNTUH semester exams for B.Tech, MBA, MCA and B.Pharma courses are scheduled to begin from June 20, 2020.

JNTU-H New Semster Exam Pattern

The university has also made some changes in the semester examination pattern. Following are the major highlights of the upcoming semester exam pattern of JNTU-H:

  • Five out of eight questions have to be attempted.

  • There will be no compulsory section with short answer questions.

  • The duration of the exam will be two hours.

  • The maximum marks for external exams will remain the same.

  • The level of questions will be Moderate

  • Students will have to answer each question within 20 minutes.

The semester-end examination will be conducted at the parent colleges. There will be no shuffling of students to host colleges. Full attendance will be marked for students for the entire lockdown period and it will be counted at par.

The university has asked principals of colleges to conduct contact sessions with teachers, lab experiments, mid-term exams and external lab examinations from July 1 to 15.
