New Private Universities in Telangana to Offer Courses in IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotics

The Government of Telangana has issued an ordinance for setting up new private universities, and the admissions will be conducted from the 2020-21 academic session considering the huge demand. These universities will offer courses in innovative technologies such as Cyber Security, Robotics, Visual Computing, Construction Technology & Management, IoT (Internet of Things), Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. Apart from these, the new private universities may also offer courses in Fashion Designing, Entrepreneurship etc.

These universities will be established with international standards, and offering innovative courses is the motive of these institutes.

These universities have plans to conduct their own entrance exams but rolled back the idea for this year due to the existing Covid-19 conditions. Admissions for the academic session 2020-21 will be based on entrance exams such as JEE Main, TS EAMCET and TS ICET. The detailed notification for admissions will be released by universities individually.

Woxsen University in its statement revealed that it has invested in setting up world-class AI and Robotics lab with an objective to provide simulated case studies and live projects to students. On the other hand, the university is coming up with an innovative and first of its kind programme in Entrepreneurship Development.

Managing Trustee of Anurag University, S. Neelima revealed that they are introducing courses in construction technology, computer science and systems engineering.

In all, new universities with emerging courses in diverse fields will help students to explore multiple career options.
