JoSAA 2016 Extends Reporting Dates for Admission to August 01

The reporting date for confirmation of admission to theNational Institute of Technology (NIT’s),Indian Institute of Technology (IIT’s) and Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTI’s) has been extended to August 1 by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2016. It was earlier decided that the dates for the same will lie between July 22 and 26. The reason for extending the dates is incase a candidate is not able to report on the above mentioned dates to their respective institutes due to some circumstances, they can do it now.

Also, while reporting to your allotted institute, all candidates must take their "Provisional Admission Letter" with them to the allotted institute.

The seat allocation procedure of JoSAA 2016 started from June 24. Unlike other years, a total of six rounds were conducted by JoSAA to allocate seats in these 92 institutes.

Among the 92 institutes, there are 22 IITs, ISM, 31 NITs, 20 IIITs and 18 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs).
