Joint Seat Allocation Authority released the JoSAA 2nd Mock Allotment result 2022 on September 20, and the direct link to check the tentative allotment status has been updated. The candidates will have to enter the JEE Main Application Form Number and Password to check the 2nd mock allotment result 2022 of JoSAA. After checking the mock allotment, the candidates will have to edit or rearrange the college & course preferences (if required). The last date for the choice filling and locking is September 21 after which Round 1 seat allotment will be released on September 23.
Instructions to be Followed after JoSAA 2nd Mock Allotment Result 2022
After checking the JoSAA 2nd mock allotment 2022, here are some of the suggestive instructions that the candidates can follow –
- If you are not getting the allotment as per the first option, try editing the the options as per the previous year closing ranks
- The candidates must note that there is no guarantee that 2nd mock allotment will be the same as the main seat allotment. As most of the candidates edit options after 2nd mock allotment, there will be changes in the final allotment
- The candidates must ‘Lock’ the choices by September 21 to be eligible for the main seat allotment result
- Candidates must note that the previous year’s closing ranks and 2022 closing ranks will not be the same. Therefore, it is advisable to treat the previous year’s closing ranks as a basic reference and edit the options accordingly. It is advisable to check at least the last 4-5 year closing rank trends of JoSAA to get a basic understanding
