JoSAA Added 2 More Rounds of Conselling for IITs and NITs

JoSAA increased counselling rounds making them 6. The counselling will last till 20 July 2016. Result of first round was declared on 30 June 2016 and result of second round was declared on 6 July 2016
JoSAA Added 2 More Rounds of Conselling for IITs and NITs

Counselling for the following institutes will now take place in 6 rounds and the counselling will last till 20th July’ 16.

  • National Institutes of Technology (NITs)
  • Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs)
  • Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs)
  • Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs)

The Joint Counselling Authority declares a revised counselling schedule for admission into the above institutions, the joint counselling for IITs and NITs started from 24th June’ 16.

Two rounds of counselling have already been conducted for the allotment of seats by JoSAA. The result of the first round was declared on 30th June’ 16 and the result of the second round was declared on 6th July’ 16 i.e. yesterday.

Previously, the counselling board had decided to conduct only 4 rounds of counselling but now 6 rounds will be conducted and this is for the academic year 2016. In the joint counselling conducted by JoSAA, 92 institutes are participating. This counselling is being conducted for students who wish to take admission into B.Tech in the participating institute.
