JoSAA counselling 2025 started on June 3, 2025, with the registration process. Interested and eligible candidates should visit the official website to register for IIT, NIT, IIIT, and GFTI counselling.
JoSAA Counselling 2025 LIVE UpdatesJoSAA Counselling 2025 LIVE Updates: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority has released the JoSAA counselling schedule 2025 on the official website. As per the schedule, the JoSAA counselling 2025 commenced on June 3, 2025 , a day after the release of the JEE Advanced result. Candidates who have qualified for the JEE Main and JEE Advanced 2025 exams will be eligible to participate in the JoSAA counselling process. For this, candidates should visit the official website - josaa.nic.in and complete the JoSAA counselling registration process. The JoSAA counselling registration process will start at 5 PM. Any delays are not likely. Furthermore, it must be noted that the registration conducted until June 12 is for all counselling rounds. Separate registration windows will not be opened before the start of any round. Only the candidates who register by June 12 will be considered for allocation of the first and future rounds, depending on the post-allotment option they exercise.
After successful registration, the candidates will be able to participate in the JoSAA choice filling process on June 8, 2025. Based on that, the authority will release the JoSAA round 1 mock round seat allotment result on June 9, 2025. The final choice locking is by June 12, and the same choice preferences will be considered for all six counselling rounds.

After that, the authority will start the JoSAA round 2 counselling process, and the entire process will be completed after 6 rounds. After releasing the JoSAA mock round seat allotment result, the candidates should lock their choices if they are satisfied with the allotment. Otherwise, the authority will automatically lock it and release the round 1 seat allotment result based on that.

- After going through the instructions, the candidates should click on the “I Agree” option.

JoSAA Counselling 2025: Eligibility Criteria for Admission to BArch and BPlan
- Architecture students should qualify the JEE Main exam with 50% marks aggregate and also should get 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry each
- For the BPlanning candidates, they should qualify for class XII or qualify for the JEE Main exam with 50% in Mathematics and 50% in the aggregate of the qualifying exam

JoSAA Counselling 2025: Eligibility Criteria for Admission to NITs, IIITs
- The authority will consider AIR in the JEE Main exam to get admission to NITs and IIITs
- Candidates should secure 75% marks in class 12
- For SC/ST candidates, they should get 65% aggregate in class 12

JoSAA Counselling 2025: When will round 1 registration be started?
As per the JoSAA round 1 counselling registration process, it will start on June 3, 2025, at 5 PM. Before participating in the round 1 registration process, the candidates should check whether they are eligible or not for the JoSAA counselling process.
