The Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh has finally come to a conclusion on jumbling system in Intermediate practical exams. Initially the board announced that the jumbling system would be implemented from the academic year 2015-2016. Due to various reasons the government has postponed it and decided to implement from the academic year 2016-2017.
What is Jumbling System?
According to the Jumbling System, students of one college will have to take practical examination in examination center allotted to them. Presently, the students take examination in their respective colleges.
Disadvantages of Jumbling System:-
- In the absences of Jumbling System, the colleges especially private and corporate favored students by awarding cent per cent marks even if they do not perform well in the practical examinations.
- Most of the private colleges are opposing Jumbling System as most of the government colleges do not have proper laboratories to conduct practical examination. Moreover the Jumbling System will show adhesive effect on student’s marks in Intermediate which will have weightage in EAMCET and JEE.
Most of the parents opined that “Students are not being given proper knowledge in practical examination. Most of the colleges do not train the students in practical tests throughout the year. So students lack knowledge and secure fewer marks in the practical examination”.
