Koneru Lakshmaiah University (KLU) located near Guntur, Andhra Pradesh will hold the sixth annual convocation ceremony on December 24, 2016. The ceremony will take place at the convocation hall of the varsity. A.S. Kiran Kumar, Chairman of ISRO, will grace the occasion as the chief guest and Prof. Worsak Kanok, President, Asian Institute of Thailand will be present as the guest of honour at the convocation ceremony. He will deliver the convocation address on this occasion.

Prof. T Umamaheswara Rao, Registrar of KLU mentioned that the students who have completed various courses like B.Com, BBA, B.Tech, MCA, MBA, M.Tech and Ph.D. during the academic session of 2015-16 will be awarded degrees on the occasion. He stated that around 2,500 students are expected to receive the degrees during the convocation ceremony.
He further added that the candidates who wish to receive their Original Certificate (OU) in person during the convocation must register on the official website on or before December 16, 2016.

He explained that a total number of 1,600 scholars were admitted in both full-time and part-time Ph.D. programmes in KLU from the academic session 2009-10 and the varsity is conferring Ph.Ds to 12 research scholars this year.
On the other hand, the candidates who stood first and second in their respective courses will be awarded Gold and Silver medals.
KLU will also hold a Science Expo on December 13, 14 & 15, 2016 where students from various schools will exhibit their projects. The best exhibit will receive a prize.
