13,351 Candidates Confirmed Under Karnataka Graduate Teacher Recruitment
As per updates, there has been a recruitment drive conducted to hire graduate teachers. Well, after the publication of a provisional list, married women candidates who had submitted income certificates of their fathers were excluded, and instead added to the general category. The decision raised objections from the candidates who filed a case in the high court.
In February, the court ordered the Karnataka teacher recruitment board to include these women in the list. In this context, a new list was published whereby out of 15,000 teachers posts, 1649 will be filled in the current recruitment process that will be conducted this year.
Amendments in Karnataka Graduate Teacher Recruitment 2023
The Karnataka Graduate teacher recruitment which was organized last year sparked some controversy concerning the merit list. It has been observed that while preparing the provisional list, the names of women candidates who uploaded the income certificates of their fathers during the document verification process were not included.
Well, school Education and Literacy Minister BC Nagesh clarified in a press conference that the final list containing names of 13,351 candidates will be able to join by June 2023. The Minister assured candidates, to commence the document verification process of the shortlisted candidates soon. He further stated that the new merit list has been published as per the Karnataka high court order.
