Student Reactions on Karnataka High Court Decision on KCET Repeaters Issue 2022

There have been mixed reactions to the Karnataka High Court's decision on KCET 2022 repeaters issue. Here are some of the student reactions received by CollegeDekho –

  • A student who is a fresher indicated that the judgment of the high court is unfair. As 2021 PUC exams were not held, repeater students might have an advantage of getting good ranks in KCET as every student was declared qualified in 2021
  • One student expressed that the Karnataka High Court has been unfair to 2 lakh fresh students whose ranks will be revised now for the sake of 24,000 repeater students
  • One student indicated that the court decision is fair. ‘Every competitive exam has repeaters and everyone should be treated equally, he expressed
  • One student expressed that the court decision is fair. In 2021, even though the PUC exams were cancelled, the marks were awarded on the basis of past academic performance. All these repeater students were not given any free marks. Therefore, the court decision is fair, he expressed.

In all, the court decision has drawn mixed reactions. KEA will soon release a press note on KCET 2022 ranks, and the counselling process will be initiated only after declaring the fresh ranks.
