KCET Round 1 Seat Allotment 2025 Release Date: The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) is planning to release the provisional seat allotment for KCET Round 1 Counselling 2025 on August 1 and the final Round 1 allotment on August 2. Eligible candidates who completed the document verification and submitted their course-college preferences will have their allotment accessible once the link is live at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. Upon being allotted a seat, students must pay the acceptance fee and report to their allotted institute within the designated window for admission confirmation. The reporting deadline will also be shared by the KEA along with the seat allotment. Following this, seats still vacant or vacated through float/upgrades can be reallocated in further rounds, likely to be conducted in August 2025.

KCET Round 1 Seat Allotment 2025: Options available after Allotment

Once the allotment is live, aspirants must decide among these key options:

Freeze: Accept the allotted seat and complete admission; no further participation in subsequent rounds.
Float: Accept the seat but stay eligible for an upgrade in later rounds.
Slide: Retain the same institution but change the course preference.

Following the release of allotment, aspirants who have secured a seat are required to choose the option- Freeze/Float/Slide, for their allotment. Failing to complete the admission process before the deadline will lead to cancellation of the allotted seat.
