KCET Round 2 Seat Allotment 2022: Allotment of Consequential Vacancies

KCET Round 2 Seat Allotment 2022 is made in multiple iterations until there is no change in the seat allotment of any candidate. The consequential vacancies that arise in the first iteration will be filled out in the second iteration. Then the vacancies that arise in the second iteration will be filled out in the third iteration and so on until the allotment of no candidate changes. These allotments will be the final allotments for KCET counselling 2022 round 2 and will be released via the candidate login.

While the seat allotment is being processed as per the allotment sequence, Choice 2 opted candidates who move upwards leave their current seat allocation vacant. Such vacancies are not included in the vacancy seat matrix, thus consequential vacancies are the unaccounted vacancies which will only be created and filled at the time of seat allotment.

KCET Seat Allotment 2022 Round 2: Super Numerary Quota (SNQ)

As per AICTE, 5% of the total seats are reserved under Super Numerary Quota (SNQ), also referred to as Tuition Fee Waiver System (TFWS). Under this scheme, the tuition fees of the college will not have to be paid by the candidate. The allotment of TFWS seats is done in the order of 5 stages, which are explained here one by one. Before selecting Choice 3, it is important to note that if no seat allocation is made for the candidate in the next round, they will have no claim over any seat. Therefore, it is advised to go for Choice 2 instead of Choice 3.

Candidates selecting Choice 2 imply that they are satisfied with the current allocation but wish to go for the next counselling round for further chances of seat upgradation. In such cases, candidates will have to pay the seat acceptance fee (if not already paid in round 1) but they will not be required to report at the allotted institute. In case, during the next round, the candidate is allotted a better seat, the current allocation will automatically be cancelled. However, if no better seat is allotted, the current seat will be retained.

Candidates selecting Choice 1 will not be eligible for further counselling rounds. It is also important to note that Choice 1 candidates will mandatorily have to log in at the portal again after admission and convey to KEA that they have joined the college.
