Calculus: Common "Topper Traps" to Avoid

    • In Indefinite Integration, the candidates should find out the constants. Usually, KEAM provides two options, which seem identical except for a constant or a sign.
    • If you find that any limit question takes more than five lines, then they might miss a shortcut (such as Taylor Series expansions or standard limit formulas).

  • 12 30 PM IST - 16 Apr'26

    Calculus: Speed-Solving Hacks

    • Instead of solving the complex inequalities or limits alphabetically, experts advise visualising the graph. It will help to find out the continuity or points of non-differentiability instantly.
    • When solving the Indefinite Integration, if the candidates find any question too complex, then the toppers should differentiate the four given options and check which option matches the question. It is one of the faster ways of solving questions than integration.

  • 12 00 PM IST - 16 Apr'26

Calculus: The "Big Three" Priority List

    • Differential Calculus (Limits, Continuity, Differentiability): Experts suggest mastering L'Hôpital's Rule for limits. It can save a massive amount of time in the exam.
    • Integral Calculus (Definite & Indefinite): Candidates should majorly focus on Properties of Definite Integrals, since direct integration is often hard for the KEAM exam.
    • Application of Derivatives (AoD): Practice Maxima and Minima and Tangents & Normals as much as possible. Candidates will get most predictable questions on these topics.
