KVS Recruitment 2022: The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is currently inviting online applications for the recruitment of 13,404 PGT, PRT, TGT, and non-teaching vacancies. The exam date is yet to be announced. While a valid eligibility certificate is required to apply for the concerned posts under KVS, many candidates have raised their voices against KVS’s decision not to allow CTET students to register for the recruitment exam.
CTET Aspirants Demand Eligibility to Register Online
In view of the KVS 2022 direct recruitment of teaching staff as per Advt. no. 15/2022, CTET aspirants have expressed their concern to the Ministry of Education regarding the denial of CTET candidates from registering for the KVS recruitment process.
Earlier in 2018, the authorities allowed CTET candidates to compete in the KVS recruitment process. Citing this, students have even accused the recruiting body of discriminating against students and violating Article 16 of the Indian Constitution by denying CTET aspirants the right to apply online.
Candidates stated that due to the exam being postponed because of the Covid-19 pandemic, there was a delay in the results being published, which kept them from participating in the CTET 2021 exam. Furthermore, ever since the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) started conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test once a year without prior notice, many candidates are unable to sit for the exam. For those who are unaware, the CTET 2022 exam, which was scheduled in July also had been called off.
Neither the Ministry of Education nor the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has made any official announcement regarding the eligibility of CTET students. Candidates are advised to keep an eye out on the KVS official website for further notice and updates.
