After deciding to change entrance test format, now Lucknow University entrance examination will have 100 multiple choice questions. These questions will be based on the common 10+2 syllabus of three main boards (UP board, CBSE and ISC) to test the knowledge in subjects of the stream (science, commerce or arts) candidates have applied for admission to.
"The students knowledge of 10+2 curriculum will be tested," said admission coordinator Anil Mishra, adding, "For example, a student appearing for admission to BCom will have to answer questions from 10+2 commerce syllabus.
Students will have 90 minutes to answer entrance test." He said subjects taught in science and commerce streams are almost same on all boards, but since for arts, in which different subject combinations are followed, it was not yet decided which subjects to include questions from for BA entrance examination.
According to admission coordinator Anil Mishra, admission forms will be available in last week of April while submission of forms will end up by mid-May and entrance test will be conducted in last week of May.
The decision regarding examination paper content, last date of form submission and entrance will be finalised during the admission meeting to be held on April 12.
