Lucknow University To Organise Aadhaar Card Camp for Students
The Lucknow University will organise a camp for making Aadhaar cards on May 3 and 4 at the department of Education in order to help students who are appearing for the Lucknow University undergraduate entrance examinations which kick off from May 30 and have no ID-cards at present.
LU spokesperson NK Pandey said that there had been several queries by a section of applicants regarding the photo ID which was mandatory in the online application form for undergraduate students. “Some of them do not have any identity card. In this context, we will be organising a camp for issuing Aadhaar cards in the university under the supervision of the dean, Students’ Welfare in the department of Education on May 3 and 4.
All candidates who do not have the Aadhaar card may apply for it on the stipulated dates and use the reference number provided to submit their forms. Those who come for the Aadhaar card have to bring the proof of residence and other documents required for this purpose.” he said.
He added that applicants who had committed any errors while filling the form had been given the option of editing some fields by logging in to the form and updating changes. He pointed out that candidates appearing in the admission test on the stipulated date would have to come with the admit card along with the photo ID.
Candidates without valid photo ID will not be allowed to appear in the test and last date for submitting form was May 16.
