Lucknow's Kirti Singh Scores All-UP Fifth Rank in High School

Results of UP Board examinations conducted by the Board of High School and Intermediate Education were announced on May 15, Kirti Singh from the SKD Academy, Rajajipuram, Lucknow secured the fifth rank all over the state with 97.5 per cent marks in class X, in a talk she said, that she had expected a high percentage because of the hard work that she had put in for the examinations.

Kirti, whose parents are government teachers, wants her to go for Aerospace Engineering and her role model is the former President APJ Abdul Kalam. “I am not at all surprised by the marks that I have got because I expected that I would get a good rank. I have put in long hours to reach this position,” she said. Talking about her success mantra, she said that it was important to manage time properly and she stressed that one had to take care of one’s health while preparing for the examinations.

“I have always been fascinated by engineering and I want to explore the area of Aerospace Engineering. My role model is former President APJ Abdul Kalam and I have read his book, ‘Wings on Fire,’ she said. Incidentally, young Kirti who does not have a smartphone and who put in several hours of hard work said that she was never into social networking or on social networking sites.
