The candidates need to qualify in MAH-B. HMCT-CET 2017 to seek admission to BHMCT course. The entrance exam will also be conducted in an online mode.
Maharashtra: DTE Begins Application Process for BHMCT Course 2017

Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra that holds entrance examinations for various courses has opened the online application process for Bachelor in Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) in various unaided, aided and government colleges across the state. The entire application process for BHMCT is online. The candidates need to qualify in MAH-B.HMCT-CET 2017 to seek admission to BHMCT course. The entrance exam will also be conducted in an online mode.

Eligibility: -

  • A minimum pass in HSC examination is mandatory to appear for MAH-B.HMCET-CET 2017.
  • 45% of marks in HSC is mandatory for General Category candidates.
  • 40% of marks in HSC is necessary for SC/ PH/ ST and backward classes.
  • Candidates who have appeared for HSC examination and are waiting for results can also apply.

Application Process: -

  • DTE Maharashtra’s official website facilitates online submission of application forms.
  • On the home page of DTE Maharashtra website, one can find the tab MAH-B.HMCT-CET 2017.
  • Click on ‘Apply Online’ link.
  • The page will be automatically redirected to the online portal to submit application forms.
  • Pre-registration on the online portal is mandatory to submit the application form.
  • Generate login credentials and go for online filling of application form.
  • Fill the application, submit it and pay the application fee.
  • For reserved categories Rs. 600 is the cost of application.
  • For General Category Rs. 800 is the cost of application.

Pattern of Examination: -

The question paper will have 100 questions and the duration of the exam is 1 ½ hours. The questions will be asked from the following areas: -

  • Current Affairs
  • General Knowledge
  • Reasoning (Arithmetic and Verbal)
  • English Language
