The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Education (MSBSHE) has announced the High School Certificate (HSC) and Senior School Certificate (SSC) 2017 examination dates on its official website.
Maharashtra HSC 2017 Exam Dates:
- Start Date: February 28, 2017
- End Date: March 25, 2017
Maharashtra SSC examinations 2017 Exam Dates:
- Start Date: March 7, 2017
- End Date: March 29, 2017
The delay in announcement of the Board Exam dates in Maharashtra is due to the Civil Elections conducted across the state. MSBSHE was founded as an autonomous body under the provision of the Maharashtra Act No. 41 of 1995.
An immensely popular exam, there are about 14 Lakh students who take the HSC exam every year and about 17 lakh students take the SSC exam every year. Even the supplementary exam takers constitute about 6 Lakhs students combining HSC and SSC. Maharashtra houses about 21000 schools under SSC and about 7000 schools under HSC.
The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Education (MSBSHE) conducts both HSC & SSC exam through 9 Divisional Boards located in Pune, Mumbai, Nasik, Amravati, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Latur, Ratnagiri, and Nagpur.
