Mahatma Gandhi Central University ready to take shape : Bihar

Mahatma Gandhi Central University (MGCU) Vice Chancellor Professor Arvind Agrawal has sought the support of the Motihari residents to help the university in getting a suitable campus to run the classes and offices.

The VC has said that the university administration is very anxious to initiate the 1st academic session of the varsity from 2016 July as the 5 Year - plan period of the government would conclude in the year 2017 & after that the varsity would face financial problems if allotted funds are rendered un-utilized said the Vice Chancellor.

A proposal was sent in the month of April 2016 to the Bihar state government by the East Champaran district administration in order to allocate the accommodation of the RNM Ayurveda College & OBC hostel to start the session of the university, however, it was not accepted from the government’s side. The Bihar state government in a letter had said to the Vice Chancellor and had asked to look for another building.

The Vice Chancellor also said that everything related with the starting of the university has been finalized and the tenders for hiring the buildings would be floated soon, in order to give a shape to the university. The ordinances, prospectus, rules and regulations have already been finalized.
