Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal has taken the initiative to provide bus services in and outside of campus. The institute has banned the use of motor vehicles and cars in the campus from this academic year. The first and second-year students stopped using vehicles on the campus. However, the final year students raised an objection. They opined that most of the final year students are attending competitive exams and this may cause difficulty for them to attend the coaching classes.
Dean of students welfare, Mr. Yogendra Kumar said that keeping in view of the objections raised by the students, the management is taking an initiative to provide bus facility for the students. The bus services will commence after the completion of pollution check to all the vehicles. The buses will be very much helpful for the local students. Pick and drop service will be provided to the local students.
However, some of the students opined that during the time of campus placements, there might be problems as buses do mot move quickly on the campus. Students have to rush to the administrative building. The banning of the motor vehicles in the campus will lead to discomfort to numerous students. They mentioned that the management has to rethink over the issue.
