Prime Minister Modi addressed the nation on Sunday i.e. 29th July 2018 through his popular radio programme - Mann Ki Baat. This time he advised his young friends who are joining college this year to stay calm and enjoy life in the new phase alongside studies.
PM Modi said that students shift from a home environment into college and get submerged into college work, submissions and assignments. He said that they should be enthusiastic and happy about the start of their college life. According to him, college life helps to broaden one's perspective and provides them with excellent exposure opportunities which are not possible in school or even in professional life. One gets to meet new people, experience a new culture that ultimately enriches one's mind, he added.

He also asked his young friends to learn new languages, skills and more about other cultures. According to him, young students who leave their homes for studies should discover new places, culture, languages and most of all, discover new people. He said that to broaden one’s horizons it is very important to have a bent of mind towards discovering new things and learning new things.
