MHT CET 2017: CAP Round 1 Provisional Allotment List for Engineering Course Released

DTE Maharashtra has published the provisional allotment list for engineering course. The candidates can check the provisional merit list on the official website of DTE. The provisional allotment list will give a clear insight to the candidates on the colleges and courses allotted based on their rank in MHT CET merit list. This year, Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra has decided to conduct counselling for All India Quota seats based on JEE Mains 2017. Usually, DTE conducts Common Admission Process (CAP) for engineering courses. Currently, Round 1 of CAP is ongoing and it will conclude with the seat allotment.

Steps to Check CAP Round 1 Provisional Allotment List: -

  • Open the official website of Directorate of Technical Education, i.e., DTE Maharashtra.
  • The homepage has the link to check the provisional allotment list
  • Click on the link (on the top of the page) that indicates ‘Check Provisional Allotment Status CAP Round 1’.
  • You can see a new page now.
  • Enter ‘Application ID’ and ‘Date of Birth’.
  • Submit the details, and check the provisional allotment list/ status.

This year, over three lakh candidates appeared for MHT CET 2017 examination for the admission to B.Tech/ B.E courses. However, as per trends, it has been noticed that engineering courses are in less demand since the past two years, specifically in the state of Maharashtra. This scenario has been prevalent due to increase in the number of colleges offering B.E/ B.Tech course. Last year, around 40% engineering seats remained vacant.
