MHT CET CAP Round 1 Seat Allotment 2022 has been released at 5:15 PM and can be checked at fe2022.mahacet.org from the direct link provided below.State Common Entrance Test Cell of Maharashtra has released the MHT CET seat allotment result 2022 for CAP Round 1 and the candidates can now check the same using their Application ID and Date of Birth details to check the seat allotment status of MHT CET CAP Round 1.  After the allotment, the candidate will have to Freeze/Float/Slide their seat based on their preferences and report physically at their nearest Admission Reporting Centres (ARCs), whose list will be released along with MHT CET seat allotment at cetcell.mahacet.org. Any candidate who has been allotted a seat and wishes to retain it must pay INR 1,000/- as Seat Acceptance Fee, regardless of if they wish to take admission at the currently allotted seat or not. Do note that reporting at ARC is a mandatory activity. Additionally, the candidates who are allotted their first preference (Auto-Freeze) or those who choose to Freeze their seats must also report at their allotted institute within the same dates i.e., October 19 to 21.

Steps to Check MHT CET CAP Round 1 Seat Allotment 2022

Candidates can check their seat allotment by following the simple steps given below:

Step 1: Click on the direct link given above (will be activated once released).

Step 2: Enter your EN22 Application Number and Date of Birth in the login window that will appear. Click on ‘Submit’ and your seat allotment (College Name, Code, Quota, Branch, Preference Number, etc.) will be displayed on the screen.

If the candidate is satisfied with the MHT CET seat allotment 2022, they shall ‘Freeze’ their seat (no further change) or if they wish to go for higher options, they may ‘Float’ their seat (next round participation). If the candidate wishes to retain the currently allotted institute but wishes to change the branch, they may opt for the ‘Slide’ option (next round participation).     Once the candidate has updated their upgradation status online, they must pay the Seat Acceptance Fee (INR 1,000/-) to retain their claim over the provisionally allotted seat.     What After MHT CET CAP Round 1 Seat Allotment 2022? (1/2)

    Once the seat is allotted (Preference 2 or lower), it is up to the candidate to decide if they wish to retain the seat or go for further upgradation in Round 2. Despite not being allotted Preference 1, if the candidate is satisfied with the allotment, they may 'Freeze' (no further upgradation) their seat. If not satisfied and the candidate wishes to go for seat upgradation, they may opt for Float (change of institute-branch) or they opt for Slide (only branch change within the same institute). If the candidate is allotted Preference 1, these choice options are removed and the seat is Auto-Freezed.

    MHT CET Seat Allotment 2022: Is seat allotment made as per reservation category rank?

    The ranks of the candidates are declared in various categories such as State General Merit Rank, Category Rank, Home/Other University Rank, etc. But the seat allotment is only made as per the State General Merit Rank only. If the candidate comes under a reservation category or quota, then their seat will be allotted in the reserved seats for their respective category/quota as per their State General Merit Rank and not the category/quota-wise merit rank.

    Just like MHT CET Seat Matrix 2022 was released before CAP round 1, the details of leftover seat vacancies for CAP round 2 will also be released sometime soon after the declaration of MHT CET seat allotment. Along with the cutoff, candidates shall also refer to the seat vacancies before applying for a particular institute.

    Along with releasing MHT CET Seat Allotment 2022, the CET Cell will also publish the institute-wise and branch-wise cutoff or the last rank and percentile scores at which the admissions to MHT CET counselling round 1 closed. Those candidates who are willing to go for the next round must refer to MHT CET Round 1 cutoff 2022 while editing the option form. This will allow the candidate to know which college they may be allotted based on their rank and thus, will overall improve their chances of a higher allotment.

    MHT CET Seat Allotment 2022: Can option form be edited again?

    After MHT CET Seat Allotment, the candidates who opt for Float or Slide can edit their option form between October 23 to 26 for CAP round 2 allotments. New options can be added and preferences can be changed as well. However, those candidates who have opted for the 'Freeze' option cannot participate in the next round, and thus, no option form modification will be available for them.

    While there is no separate option provided to refuse the seat, in the case where the candidate does not want to provisionally accept the seat allotment using Float or Slide, the candidate can refuse their seat by not paying the seat acceptance fee. Such candidates will, later on, be considered for fresh allotment again during the next round but they will have to submit a fresh option form i.e., the option form submitted during CAP round 1 cannot be modified and all options will have to be reselected and resubmitted. It is advised to provisionally retain the seat than refuse it.

    If any candidate who has selected the Freeze, Float, or Slide option fails to submit the seat acceptance fee within the given deadline will lose their claim to the seat currently allotted to them after MHT CET round 1 seat allotment 2022. Such candidates will have to participate in the next rounds of counselling as fresh allottees.

Freeze candidates must also pay the fee, along with the admission fees while physically reporting at the allotted institute. The Seat Acceptance Fee is INR 1000/-.
