Ministry of Culture Announces 400 Scholarship for Young Artistes

Ministry of Culture announced 400 scholarships for young artistes. Interested can apply online and the last date to apply for the scholarship is December 5, 2019.

The Ministry of Culture and Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT) has announced to give 400 scholarships to exceptional performers of the art forms like Indian Classical Music, Indian Classical Dances, Folk, Traditional Music, Visual Arts, Theatre and Indigenous Arts. Students whose minimum age is 18 and a maximum of `25 on 1st April 2020 can only apply for the scholarships. The applicants must be trained in the concerned discipline of art under a guru or any institute. The candidate must have sufficient knowledge about the art form to apply for the scholarships.

The scholarship will be given for a duration of 2 years to the applicants. An amount of 500 rupees will be given per month to the scholarship holders. The scholars will have to go through rigorous training which would include a minimum of 3 hours per day for practice sessions. Apart from that, there are theory classes for the subject.

How to Apply for CCRT MoC Scholarship?

The students who want to apply in the 2019 Scholarship schemes of CCRT and Ministry of Culture has to follow the steps mentioned below,

  • There will be a link named New User, the candidates have to visit the link
  • The candidates have to register themselves and fill-up the form inside the link

According to the notice released by CCRT, the candidates will have to appear before an expert committee before being approved for the scholarship projects. The expert committee will assess the candidate’s practical and theoretical knowledge in the interview. The candidates, after making their applications will be sent an e-mail where their date, time and venue of the interview.
