Ove the years Nagaland University was burdened with several issues including financial misappropriation by the institutional heads. It resulted in series of agitations and removal officials of the University on corruption charges. The VC had to be removed several times. The organization expressed its deep concerns over the lapses. It says that in spite of huge potential, the University has no educational environment and is yet to have a strong academic foundation.
Naga Hoho also highlighted that for the past few years the University has been surrendering a yearly plan for the development of the university. In spite of that no development work for the University has been undertaken yet.
