National Institute of Nutrition Invites Applications for JRF Positions

The popular Hyderabad-based ICMR - National Institute of Nutrition is inviting applications from motivated, eligible and intelligent students for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) (a total of two positions) leading to Ph.D. Applicants can check the details of the fellowship and other requirements in this notification elaborated below.

National Institute of Nutrition JRF Project Details:

The selected Junior Research Fellow will work on a project that will focus on ‘Production of Alpha Galactosidase from Microbial, Plant and Cell lines as a potential approach for the Enzyme Replacement Therapy (ERT) for Fabry disease.

National Institute of Nutrition JRF Eligibility:

  • Any candidate who is willing to apply for the post of JRF for this project should hold a 1st class M.Sc in Nutrition/ Life Sciences/ Biochemistry from any of the recognized university.
  • He or she who is applying for the JRF should have qualified any of these exams - ICMR/ CSIR/ DBT/ UGC-NET to be eligible for the JRF position.
  • The candidate who is applying for the JRF should not be more than 28 years in age as on 14th August 2018. The applying candidates should be below the age of 28 years as on 14.08.2018.

National Institute of Nutrition JRF Application Process:

  • Interested candidates can send their CV to Dr. S. Devindra, Scientist C by email dr_devindra@rediffmail.com.
  • The last date to submit the CV is 13th September 2018, latest by 5 PM.
  • The selected candidates will be called for personal interviews and discussions with the Principal Investigator.
  • The selected candidates are supposed to bring all the original certificates of all the educational qualifications, ICMR/ CSIR/ DBT/ DST/UGC qualification certificates, set of the photocopies of the same and a latest passport size photograph along with the complete bio-data while attending the interview/ discussion.

General Conditions for National Institute of Nutrition JRF:

  • Please note that the fellowship will be awarded as per the rules of ICMR/ CSIR/ DST/ DBT/ UGC who are qualified for the Net-JRF with fellowship.
  • No selected student will have the right to claim for regular employment at the institute.
