The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will be conducting a special stray vacancy round for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - Undergraduate, commonly known as the NEET UG Counselling 2021, to fill up 323 vacant seats for MBBS admission. The round will be held online to ensure that no seats from AIIMS/JIPMER/Central University/Central Institute/All India Quota goes to waste. The MCC has also stated that it will not be conducting any fresh registration for the special stray round of NEET UG Counselling 2021. Only pre-registered candidates and those who do not have any seats allotted to them will be eligible for participation in this round. However, candidates will need to go through the process of choice filling all over again for the stray round. Further, all registered candidates irrespective of the category will need to pay a security deposit of INR 50,000 for participation in the special stray vacancy round. However, the security deposit of candidates who choose to withdraw from the seats allotted to them will be forfeited.
As per the regulations of MCC, candidates who have not been allotted any seat in the State/All India Quota will be considered eligible to participate in the NEET UG Counselling 2021 special stray vacancy round. Selected candidates will have to report to the institute with original documents, as required.
