NEST 2024 eligibility criteria (Image Credits: Pexels)NEST 2024 Notification: The official notification for the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST-2024) examination has been released along with important details of the application process. The candidates willing to pursue higher education at National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) and University of Mumbai Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS) for 2024-25 session must fill out NEST 2024 registration form before the last date. The students first have to fulfil the minimum NEST 2024 eligibility criteria mentioned in the notification and the official website- nestexam.in. NEST 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Being an integrated M.Sc Programme, the candidate must have cleared their Class XII examination with the following criteria:
- The candidates must have passed Class 12th or equivalent education with at least 60% marks aggregate from a recognised school board.
- The candidates of SC and ST category must have passed Class 12th or equivalent education with at least 55% marks aggregate from a recognised school board.
- Students appearing for the Class 12th exam in 2024 are also eligible to apply provided that they will be able to fulfil the above-mentioned NEST Eligibility 2024 at the time of admission.
- No candidate who has qualified the minimum qualification (Class 12th) before 2022 is eligible to apply for this course.
- After applying, Only the candidates who have been selected in the NEST 2024 Merit List will be eligible to seek admission in the participating institutes.
It is to be noted that the students must look at these requirements before submitting NEST 2024 application fee as it is non-refundable. No repayment will be issued to the candidates who are found ineligible later.
