NIFT 2026 Registration:
The National Testing Agency will be closing the window for the NIFT 2026 registration today, January 16, 2026. If you are eligible and interested in applying, make sure to submit your application before the deadline. Only candidates who fulfil the required eligibility criteria are advised to fill out the application form. NTA has clearly mentioned that this will be the final extension of dates, so there will be no further extension of the last date to apply for NIFT 2026.
Hence, this is the last chance to apply before the registration closes without any late fee. The registration fee for the General / OBC (Non-Creamy) / EWS category candidates is Rs 2,000, and for the SC / ST / PwD category candidates is Rs 500. With an additional late fee of Rs 5,000 for all categories, the registration shall remain open from January 17 to 19, 2026. The correction window for the registered candidates shall remain open from January 20 to 21, 2026. The NIFT 2026 exam is scheduled to be held on February 8, 2026.

Candidates must fulfil the program-specific NIFT 2026 eligibility requirements to be admitted to the design courses. The NIFT 2026 exam prospectus will provide the eligibility requirements for NIFT. The prospectus is available for download on the NIFT admissions website. It will list the requirements that the applicant must fulfil in order to be admitted, such as the age restriction, educational background, number of attempts, etc. At any point during the admissions process, a candidate may be disqualified if they don't match the requirements. Therefore, it is advisable to review the eligibility conditions before completing the NIFT application form.
