The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Meghalaya has invited applications for admissions to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programmes in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mathematics and Chemistry for the January 2016 session.
The candidates applying for the admissions should have a Masters degree in relevant branch of Engineering/ Science/ Technology/ Management Sciences/ or a Masters degree in the allied subjects with consistently good academic record, having acquired at least 60 per cent marks or an equivalent CGPA in the Masters degree.
· The candidates with B.E/ B.Tech, having obtained an aggregate of 75 per cent marks or equivalent GPA with valid GATE score will also be eligible.
· The candidates who are applying for the Ph.D programmes in Humanities and Social Sciences should have acquired minimum 55 per cent in master's programme.
· The candidates will be selected on the basis of the written test. The candidates shortlisted in the written test will be called for interview.
· The last date for applying online for admission is November 27. The last date for submission of the application is December 8.
