NSE and IIT Kanpur sign MoU to strengthen cybersecurity solutions for Indian capital market. The collaboration will also contribute to the financial market ecosystem and will acquaint the members with best industry practices.

NSE and IIT Kanpur Signs a Pact to Strengthen Cyber Security Solutions

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) of India Ltd.- NSE has signed a pact with IIT Kanpur to for the advancement in the field of cybersecurity, its solutions and practices. The collaboration between NSE and IIT Kanpur aims to address the challenges in the field of cybersecurity and to deal with future cybersecurity challenges going on in the Indian financial and capital markets. It will also develop tools and technology to strengthen the cybersecurity system.

CEO NSE, Mr. Vikram Limaye said the association between NSE and IIT Kanpur would strengthen the cybersecurity framework and to develop cutting-edge technologies in the field of cybersecurity. According to him, this will address the challenges faced by the cybersecurity system which will ultimately improve the position of India’s capital markets. It will also contribute to the financial market ecosystem and will acquaint NSE members with best industry practices.

IIT-Kanpur Director, Prof. Abhay Karandikar informed that the C3I centre at the institute has worked on cybersecurity products with the latest technologies., and these products are the most suitable for the Indian capital markets. Through this collaboration, IIT Kanpur will provide assistance to NSE in the field of Cyber Security. The institute will also support the NSE’s security posture, he added.

IIT Kanpur has come up with a cybersecurity centre which is popularly known as C3I Centre. The centre is funded by theScience and Engineering Research Board, Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. The centre primarily works on the research on cyber defence and cybersecurity.
