NIIT University (NU), Rajasthan has been adjusted as the “Best Institution for promoting industry-academia interface” by ASSOCHAM in its recently concluded 10th Higher Education Summit 2017. Shri Prakash Javadekar, Union HRD Minister, Government of India, felicitated the University with the honour.
The summit focused on the contribution and role of universities in building entrepreneurial ecosystems. NU was established to impart higher education in the emerging domain of knowledge. Over the years, the institute has built extensive linkages with different industries and has played a crucial role in different leading organisations such as IBM, Microsoft Research, PwC and WNS.

Prof V S Rao, President, NIIT University in his speech said that the University has been developed as an institution of higher education and closely works with the industry to create important higher education programs. The industry-academia connect aims at to create ‘leaders of tomorrow’ so that they can adapt to the fast-changing global economy and contribute substantially to the growth of their organisations in particular, and the society in general. He said that he is grateful that their efforts are being recognised by the industry. He thanked ASSOCHAM for this great honour and reiterated their commitment to further broaden the industry-academia alliance.

- M.Tech (GIS) with ESRI
- MBA in Business Analytics with WNS
- MBA (Finance & Banking) with ICICI Bank

Since the year of its establishment in 2009, the university has made significant progress in curriculum development, research and innovation, and design.
