DU Admissions 2020:4.77 Lakh Register for UG Courses

The registration process for admissions into UG courses in Delhi University colleges has started from 20th June.4.77 lakh register for UG courses til now, and the registration for DU UG courses has been extended till July 31st, 2020.

DU 2020 Registration Numbers

The Delhi University application process for UG Admissions 2020 started from 20th June and 4.77 lakh students have registered for the UG courses on the online website of the university till now. The DU registration has been extended till  July 31st, 2020. 4,44,198 aspirants had registered on the portal for admission to DU undergraduate courses while 2,91,469 had paid the DU registration fees. The delay in the DU Admission Process is due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

DU released a notification stating that the extension has been provided due to the delay in the class 12 exams and postponement of JEE and NEET exams till September. So far, the university has received 3,25,946 registrations for undergraduate courses itself. Around 1,28,833 students have registered for postgraduate courses and 22,701 registrations have been received for the MPhil and Ph.D. courses.DU has announced the dates for registration under extracurricular activities (ECA) category for admission to different undergraduate, postgraduate, MPhil and PhD programmes. According to the latest notification, candidates who have already registered for admission can now apply under the 14 ECA categories from August 1 to Agust 31

The university has still not announced the dates forthe announcement DU cut-off lists. The DU cut off schedule will be announced soon as the CBSE class 12 result 2020 has been released. Most likely DU cutoff list will be released by September.

Last year, the university has received 2,58,388 applications for the 62,000 available seats in various courses. This implies that one out of every four students will get a DU seat this academic year. However, Delhi University received 2,78,574 applications last year.

One of the main reasons that Delhi University receives so many registrations is that it is considered a good place to study. Talking about the top three states, (Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana) the official added that the numbers indicated how candidates in National Capital Region aspire to study at Delhi University. With just two days left in DU Registration 2019, the number of applicants is increasing day by day.
