Mechanical Engineering Association and Department of Mechanical Engineering SRM University, Kattankulathur have come together to organize a week-long short-term course on Micromachining from November 20, 2017, to November 27, 2017.
Micromachining Short Terme Course Objectives:
Nowadays, the size of industries are decreasing but there is an increase in the number of functions within an industry. Due to this trend change, there is an increase in the demand for industrial products which can be fulfilled with the use of small machines. For the production of such tiny components and parts of the machine, micro-machining is the most basic technology which is put into place. Creating a 3-dimensional or 2-dimensional machines or structure at a micro level (from 1m to 999m) is known as micromachining. To understand micromachining, one needs to have some basic knowledge of microelectronic fabrication.
The main aim of this short-term course on micro-machine at SRM university is to give an overview of micromachining and help participants understand the concept at large.
