Osmania University to guide govt degree colleges for NAAC. Assistance will be given in key areas such as curricular aspects, teaching-learning, and evaluation, research and others.
Osmania University has decided to provide its assistance and guidance to five government degree colleges of the state to obtain the NAAC grade. OU received the National Assessment and Accreditation Council- NAAC A plus grade last year.
The university identified 10 government colleges for the same out of which five-degree colleges were selected by the university administration. OU will provide assistance to the selected colleges in the key areas listed below:
- Curricular
- Teaching- Learning and Evaluation
- Research Projects
- Improve Infrastructure and Learning Resources
- Management and Promote Innovation
- Student Support

Professor C Venugopal Rao, Director Academic Audit Cell Osmania University informed that some of the degree colleges in the state have good infrastructure and all they require is some assistance. Getting a grade will be beneficial for the degree colleges as it will help them get grants and funding from different government agencies.

Meanwhile, OU will conduct Massive Open Online Courses -MOOCs in all the colleges affiliated to the university from the next academic year. The main aim of the online courses is to enhance the skills of students and to increase their employability.
Osmania University is one of the popular higher educational institute offering various UG, PG and doctoral courses in the field of engineering, information technology, management studies, and others. The university also has several collaborations with national and international varsities to promote innovation and high-quality research.
