Over 70,000 Final Year Students Wait for Mumbai University Results

  • A total of 57,099 answer sheets of Commerce stream is yet to be assessed.
  • The results of over 27,000 students are still on hold due to untraceable answer sheets. The varsity is trying to physically locate the missing answer sheets and evaluate them.
Over 70,000 Final Year Students Wait for Mumbai University Results

More than 70,000 students of the University of Mumbai have been eagerly waiting for the results of final year exams that took place in April 2017. Acting Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University, Mr. Devanand Shinde revealed that they would publish the pending results as early as possible. However, he did not give any clarity on the exact date of announcement of results.

Updates on Mumbai University Results:

  • The varsity is yet to assess 57,099 answer sheets of the commerce stream.
  • Around 14,500 commerce students have the results of at least one subject withheld.
  • The answer sheets of 28,498 students are still untraceable.
  • The officials of the varsity announced that the results of two or three subjects are still pending per student.
  • The result of B.Sc courses of 1,450 students are still on hold. The varsity has been trying to physically locate the answer sheets and evaluate them.
  • Overall, around 70,000-75,000 students are yet to access final year exam results.

The current scenario has been making students nervous as many of them who are planning to go for higher studies for which they require their marks statement. Also, those looking for jobs will need to show their graduation documents for job offers.

The varsity managed to evaluate 26,500 engineering answer sheets manually which although resulted in errors reportedly. A total of 22,275 answer sheets were then sent for re-evaluation.

On the other hand, the varsity is planning to add seats in PG courses for the benefit of students. The deadline for the submitting applications for admission to PG courses is September 15, 2017.
