Indian Institute of Management, Indore celebrated its 21st Foundation Day in a delightful manner on October 3, 2017. Mr. Amit Chandra, Managing Director of Bain Capital (Mumbai) was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
The celebration began with the lamp lighting ceremony by the chief guest along with the Director of IIM Indore. An official 15-minute short movie of IIM Indore was also released on the occasion depicted the campus life of the institute from the point of view of its alumni and the way it had enhanced their career and personality.

After the screening of the short movie, iHelp Club of IIM Indore demonstrated a social initiative run by IPM participants for the well-being of underprivileged children.
Director of IIM Indore, Professor Krishnan presented the welcome address in which he highlighted the different initiatives taken by the institute and future plans of action. He pointed that IIM Indore is bestowed with an exceptional alumni network of more than 5,000 graduates with a diversified portfolio, working in varied fields successfully.
Professor T Krishnan further explained that the mission of the institute is to be contextually relevant and to offer excellent academic infrastructure along with the development/ enhancement of the curriculum of the course, improving the standard of research by faculty members and developing international ties via student exchange programmes as well in the coming years.

Mr. Amit Chandra shared his views on the significance of interacting with youngsters that has always been fun as it provides a motivation to keep learning. He quoted that ‘a person can’t achieve anything in life without perfection’. Therefore, the youth need to take care of managing self by building a real relationship with the society.
The Foundation Day celebrations also had an awards presentation ceremony where top five percentile of the combined batch of PGP (2016-18) and IPM (2013-18) was awarded Certificates of Excellence.
