Pondicherry University to Conduct Exams for Medical, Pharmacy Students

Pondicherry University has released an official notification stating that the university will conduct undergraduate and postgraduate examinations of medical, dental, nursing, and pharmacy students.

Pondicherry University released an official notification stating that the university will be conducting undergraduate and postgraduate examinations of dental, nursing, pharmacy, and medical students. Earlier, the university decided to do away with both a final year or semester students and said that the result will be announced on the basis of internal assessment.

As per the statement of the Controller of Examinations the assessment is applicable to all regular papers offered during the final year/semester and all is also applicable for all arrear papers.

However, according to the new circular, Pondicherry University informed that the decision regarding holding the examinations for MBBS (Supplementary), Pharmacy, Dental, and, Nursing in the months of October/ November on the basis of regulations of statutory bodies such as Indian Nursing Council, Medical Council of India, Pharmacy Council of India the University, Dental Council of India.

The Pondicherry University MD and MS examinations will take place during July-August 2020. The new date of examinations is subject to review depending upon the COVID-19 situation.

Meanwhile, the Odisha Government has taken a decision to cancel all pending undergraduate and postgraduate final semester examinations. Exams will only take place for medical courses. The state government took this decision to ensure the safety of the students due to the outbreak fo coronavirus.
