According to a notification issued by the UNiversity, Patna University (PU) will start its new academic session for fresh PG students from July 21.
The admission forms will be out for sale on May 16 and the last date for submission of forms would be June 15. The last date for completion of the entire admission process, including entrance test, selection of candidates and admission of students is July 16.
An induction for the newly admissioned students will be conducted by the post-graduate department from July 18 to 20.
PU has been running as many as 32 self-financing courses, including two-year master programmes, one-year post-graduate diploma and six-month certificate courses at the PG level. The self-financing courses run by PU include MA in applied criminology, MA in women's studies, MA in rural studies, MBA, master of finance and control, MA in journalism and mass communication, MA in anthropology, MSc in biochemistry, MSc in biotechnology, MSc in environmental science and management, Master of library and information science, MSc in biodiversity, MSc in microbiology and MSc in aquaculture.
The admission process has already been started in several PG diploma courses, including PG diploma in clinical psychology, applied criminology, human resource development, women's studies, industrial safety management, Hindi journalism and mass communication, Urdu journalism and mass communication, spoken Persian, water resource management, remote sensing and GIS, actuarial sciences, women and child care, computer applications, bio-informatics, and yogic sciences. Furthermore, applications have also been invited for admission to some certificate courses.
